There was an old Joan Crawford movie on TMC recently called, "Susan and God." Rita Hayworth had a small role in the film and her name was Lenore. She is married to an older man (played by Nigel Bruce), but she has her eye on a Broadway acting friend of hers who is trying to get a role in a play. A group of friends are staying at a summer house having a party. One of the male guests, Michael, played by Bruce Cabot, is sitting on the couch and notices how much attention Rita Hayworth's character, Lenore, is giving to the younger man and her older husband is getting mad. One of the women hurries the older husband out of the room to play ping pong before a bad scene starts.
Rita Hayworth's character (Lenore) comes over to the couch and sits on the arm of the couch next to Michael. She takes a compact out of her purse and begins looking in a small mirror fixing her makeup.
Michael: "Oh-hh you better watch your step Lee or daddy'll spank!" He then uses the back of his hand to give her a light smack on her bottom to emphasize his point that her older husband is catching on and he may indeed do it.
Lenore: "Really? I wasn't doing...." They are interrupted by another lady guest who is standing near the couch.
It's a typical comedy for that era and a watchable movie. Later in the movie Joan Crawford's character (Susan) gives her teenage daughter Blossom, played by Ruth Quigley, a couple of swats on the behind.
